Michael Wright, M.Div.
Senior Pastor, Printer of the Bulletins, Webmaster, Copier Maintenance, Answerer of Phones and Emails, Chief of Wasp and Scorpion Mitigation, and Baptistry filler upper
I officially started with CBC Weir in November of 2021, and I am really excited about what the Lord is doing. Cristina is the love of my life, my best friend and counselor, and is an amazing partner in life and ministry. We have four kids and they are all Aggie grads (Gig 'em!), grown up, and living their best lives - Son Stephen and his wife Jennifer lived in San Antonio, daughter Connor and her husband Kalen live in Garland, daughter Kenna and her husband Andrew live in Richmond, and Hannah and her husband Colton live in Georgetown. We also have 6 grandkids - Macrae and Sullivan belong to Stephen and Jennifer. Grandson Eli belongs to Kenna and Andrew and is with the Lord, and they welcomed grandson Pierce in June, 2023. Hannah and Colton are the proud parents of granddaughter Finley Madison and grandson Rowan August. These are the first six, and we are looking forward to the next six (no pressure, kids!)
I was born in Southwest Kansas and grew up in Uvalde, Texas. I attended a lot of colleges and universities before FINALLY graduating from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. I also have a Master's Degree in Christian Leadership and a Master of Divinity Degree from Liberty Theological Seminary at Liberty University. I have been in ministry for over 20 years, and it is the best gig in the world! I recently retired from a 39-year career in EMS and look forward to more time with family and the church.
Cristina and I love the church and doing church, and our joy comes from being a part of God's plan in our homes and our community. We absolutely love the people! Outside of church, we enjoy anything and everything with our family, especially if it involves sand and surf, hunting and fishing, or splashing in the water somewhere. It doesn't matter where as long as we are there together.

Boyd Bush, Ed.D.
Executive/Worship Pastor and Pastor of the rest of the things that happen in church
Boyd has served the Lord for more than 25 years in a variety of ministry positions, from youth worker, education pastor, and worship leader to senior pastor, with his most recent ministry post as senior pastor at Fitzhugh Baptist Church, just south of Bee Cave. He has a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, and a Doctoral degree in education and administration and seminary training from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Logsdon Seminary. He also has more than 30 years of experience in education and state government work. With a desire to serve the Lord in every facet of his life, Boyd is driven to share the blessings of a life lived for the Lord with everyone God brings into his circle of influence. Boyd and Danaè, his college sweetheart and love of his life, have enjoyed wedded bliss since their marriage in 1986. She is a Deputy Director of the Legal Division at the Texas Legislative Council and an invaluable partner in ministry. Boyd and Danaè's daughter, Tanisha, and her husband Alex and their son River live in Oregon and love the outdoors (Duh, who wouldn't love the outdoors in Oregon!). Tanisha once said of her dad, "Yes, my dad is a doctor, but he can't do anything for you." Boyd has developed a unique way of serving the Lord through the use of humor and love and wants to infect as many people as possible with the Joy of the Lord!
Cory Ferrell
Minister to Families and Students and all the things Michael and Boyd don't want to do or can't do
CCory joined the CBC Ministry and Leadership Team in October 2024, and he hit the ground running. Cory comes from a lifelong love of Jesus and the church, and he was raised watching his parents faithfully serve. Cory has been a student leader starting in middle school, and he is continuing in the family tradition of leading ministry. He is married to his wife Genessee and they share two beautiful daughters (and with luck, hopefully a boy one day)- Harper, 3, Addison, 1, who both do a great job of keeping Mom and Dad on their toes!
He enjoys spending time with family and friends and anything outdoors! Cory was born and raised in Liberty Hill, TX and currently lives in Georgetown. He also works in the semiconductor field where he is a project manager and head welder for the company.
Cory and Family are both very excited to be a part of CBC and see the church and youth ministry grow!
